eyes and relax your face, neck, upper chest, and back muscles. Use a tennis ball or foam roller to massage away tension. Place the ball between your back and the wall. Lean into the ball, and hold gentle pressure for up to 15 seconds. Then move the ball to another spot, and apply pressure.

7. Laugh a little (or a lot). Watch your favorite sitcom or video, read the comics, or chat with someone who makes you smile. A good laugh does more than lighten your spirits--it lowers cortisol (the body's stress hormone), and boosts brain chemicals called endorphins (which help your mood).
8. Music. Listening to soothing music can lower one's blood pressure, heart rate, and anxiety. Allow your mind to focus on the different melodies, instruments, or singers in the piece. Rock out to your favorite dance song, or sing in the shower at the top of your lungs!
9. Exercise. Exercise (including yoga or walking) helps the brain release feel-good chemicals and gives your body a chance to practice dealing with stress. Go for a walk around the block, take the stairs up and down a few flights, or do some stretching exercises like head rolls and shoulder shrugs at your desk.
10. Positive Attitude. Keep a journal to help you remember all the things that are good in your life. A positive attitude and being grateful for the day's blessings cancels out negative thoughts and worries. When you start feeling stressed, spend a few minutes looking through your notes to remind yourself what really matters.
